Homebuyers purchased just seven single-family homes in Middletown, Rhode Island, in August, a 70 percent decline from 23 in August 2021. The median house price jumped 18 percent in August to $822,500 from $700,000 on a year-over-year basis, according to data compiled by the State-Wide Multiple Listing Service, Inc.
